Nitrous Oxide – N2O (also known as laughing gas and known as the best bang for your buck).
Bottled nitrous oxide is a compressed liquid and is non-flammable. First used by military aircraft during World War 2 to provide additional oxygen and power at high altitude.
How it works: The nitrous is forced through a solenoid valve and nozzle into the intake manifold or directly into the cylinder. Once the nitrous exits the nozzle it becomes mostly a gas, 36% of this gas is oxygen. This process of converting from liquid to gas also cools the air, which helps the air carry more oxygen. When the nitrous heats up and combusts, more oxygen is released and this then burns more fuel (more oxygen + more fuel = more power ) – the combination of which will increase the power of your engine from as little as 1hp to many hundreds, depending on the application.
Note: more fuel must be provided at the time of nitrous release to avoid running lean (they must be in the right ratios – The chemically correct nitrous to petrol ratio is 9.649:1).

Land Rover released the first photographs of the new Range Rover, which goes on sale in the UK in February 2002, and in the U.S. in late spring/early summer. The all-new vehicle is powered by a BMW 4.4-liter V8, which should be good for around 300 horsepower. It has full-time four-wheel drive and uses independent suspension front and rear. "We believe the new Range Rover is the most capable vehicle in the world given its outstanding breadth of on- and off-road ability," said the chairman and chief executive officer of Land Rover, Bob Dover.
The latest Range Rover is only the third all-new model in 31 years. "The exterior is thoroughly modern yet retains all the distinctive Range Rover styling cues," said Dover. "We believe it is essential that people instantly recognize the new vehicle as a Range Rover." The interior is more revolutionary. "We wanted to set the new Range Rover apart from all off-road competitors and also offer an interior that beats luxury saloon [sedan] rivals," said Dover. The Range Rover is being built on a new production line at Land Rover’s manufacturing plant in Solihull, England, and will be sold in 124 countries. Its world premiere is planned for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
